Our Mission
ABCT's mission is to pioneer a change in cleantech investing. Predicted to supply 30% of Canadian jobs by 2030, cleantech is one of Canada's fastest-growing industries. Alberta's know-how in the field of innovation, driven by its resource-heavy economy, is being leveraged and applied to cleantech applications.
ABCT strives to be a preferred entity to fund disruptive innovators.
Our Vision
We invest in companies seeking to commercialize innovativetechnology in the clean-tech sector. ABCT has traditionally invested in Alberta-based innovators to bring their high-growth potential clean-tech solutions to market.
Strategically Different
ABCT carefully selects deal flow rather than employing a "shotgun" blind pool approach. While ABCT recognizes the value of a diversified investment strategy, it does not subscribe to the "laissez-faire" attitude of a typical blind-pool approach that tends to emphasize thorough due diligence and rely on bell-curve success and failure statistics. ABCT proactively identifies attractive investment companies and supports it's portfolio companies to help them succeed in today's dynamic marketplace.
